The James N. Rentas Walk for colorectal cancer research celebrates the life and determinationof Jimmy Rentas, who battled colorectal cancer for over seven years with unfailing optimism and dignity.

Jimmy felt fortunate to be in the care of an extraordinary team lead by Dr. Nancy Kemeny at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Kemeny’s expertise in developing new chemotherapy regimens for colorectal cancer enabled him to enjoy his time with family and friends.

It is because of researchers like Dr. Kemeny that we can all hope to defeat this horrific disease. All proceeds from the event will benefit Dr. Nancy Kemeny’s Pump Research Fund, which is committed to discovering innovative ways to manage and overcome colorectal cancer.

The James N. Rentas Walk for Cancer Research relies on sponsors to assist in underwriting the cost of the event and to meet it’s fundraising goal. Depending on the level of sponsorship chosen, you or your company will be acknowledged on the event brochures, fliers, signs, banners and/or T-shirts.
